THE CORRECT TYRE PRESSURE FOR YOUR AGRICULTURE MACHINES

CALCULATE THE CORRECT PRESSURE

Adjusting your farming tyre to the right pressure is a must to increase your productivity. It helps reduce tyre wear, save fuel, and protect yourself.

Correct pressure is a low-cost way to lift productivity on the farm.

  • Too high: the footprint shrinks, slip rises and the soil compacts more.
  • Too low for the load or speed: the casing can be damaged, wear speeds up and fuel use climbs.

Use MICHELIN Agropressure to calculate the correct pressure for your tractor tyres regardless of configuration.

ADJUST TYRE PRESSURE ON DEMAND FROM YOUR SEAT

A central tyre inflation system (CTIS) lets you lower pressure for field work and raise it for the road as conditions change.

USE LOW PRESSURE TO YOUR ADVANTAGE WITH MICHELIN ULTRAFLEX TECHNOLOGY

MICHELIN ULTRAFLEX TECHNOLOGY

Innovative MICHELIN ag tyres with UltraFlex technology have a casing design that promotes soil protection, fuel savings, longer service life, and greater endurance.

This technology makes MICHELIN agricultural tyres comply with IF (Improved Flexion) and VF (Very High Flexion) normsresulting in better overall performance and increased yield.

Frequently Asked Question
Which agricultural tyres reduce soil compaction?

Tyres that carry the load at lower pressure. MICHELIN UltraFlex IF and VF tyres do this, run at the pressure your load and speed require. Deep compaction is driven mainly by axle load, so also manage loads and keep traffic on permanent wheel tracks where you can.

What is the difference between IF and VF tractor tyres?

An IF (Improved Flexion) tyre carries 20% more load than a standard tyre at the same pressure. A VF (Very High Flexion) tyre carries 40% more. Put the other way, a VF tyre can carry the same load at a much lower pressure, giving a bigger footprint and better traction.

What pressure should tractor tyres run on the road and in the paddock?

Lower in the paddock for a bigger footprint and less compaction, and higher on the road to control heat, wear and fuel use. The exact figures depend on load, speed and tyre size. MICHELIN AgroPressure calculates them for your configuration.

How do I read a tractor tyre size?

Take 710/70R42 as an example. 710 is the section width in millimetres, and 70 is the aspect ratio (the sidewall height is 70% of the width). R means radial construction, and 42 is the rim diameter in inches. The load index, speed symbol and any IF, VF or CFO markings follow the size.

What tyres suit chaser bins?

Chaser bins carry heavy, changing loads across soft paddocks and often travel by road between paddocks. Choose a tyre rated for the full bin load at your working speed, such as MICHELIN CARGOXBIB HEAVY DUTY, and set pressure for each job.
