In the 1940s, Michelin was continually innovating. The radial-ply tyre, known as the Radial X, hailed as a revolutionary technology for the years ahead.
In the 1950s, the steel-cord tyre was carriers’ tyre of choice.
Michelin brought out yet another tyre technology in the late 1960s with the Pilot 80 series. It was the first low-profile tyre for trucks.
The 1970s drew to a close with a final tyre technology: the double X tubeless tyres, which greatly simplified the tire mounting and dismounting operation. A greater time saving means greater productivity!
