Fuel Facts

Fuel represents the most significant expense associated with trucking¹.

Research indicates that aerodynamics and tyre rolling resistance account for up to 85% of a vehicle's drag², negatively impacting truck fuel economy.

Improving fuel efficiency not only offers you a competitive advantage in the trucking industry but also enhances profitability for your operations.

Improve Your Truck Fuel Economy with MICHELIN

MICHELIN® X ONE® MULTI ENERGY T

MICHELIN® X ONE® Tyres for Enhanced Fuel Efficiency

The MICHELIN® X ONE® wide-base single tyres are designed with advanced tread and casing technologies to reduce up to 30% rolling resistance, compared to dual tyres, and significantly improve truck fuel economy.

Unlike traditional dual tyres, which feature four sidewalls, the X ONE tyres have only two sidewalls. This design choice results in less flex, contributing to better overall performance.

Furthermore, a single MICHELIN X ONE tyre and wheel system weigh less than the combination of two dual tyres and two wheels.

This weight reduction can lead to a 5–10%3 decrease in fuel consumption for every 10% drop in truck weight. The lighter design of the MICHELIN X ONE tyres not only helps improve fuel efficiency but also enables truck fleets to increase their payload capacity.
